Foreign investment promotion board is one of the important branch to encourage foreign investment in India .FIPB is specially created to increase in flow of foreign direct investment in India The main functions of the Foreign Investment Promotion Board are as follows:
- Approval of Foreign Investment
- To review the policies that is related to the foreign direct investment and to communicate with the administrative ministry regarding the increase in flow of the investment.
- To regulate the implementation of the policies that are related to FDI which are approved by the government.
- To indulge in all such activities which encourage foreign direct investment in the country like contract with international companies.
Though the list is inclusive foreign investment promotion board is indulging in various other kind of function for the encouragement of FDI. FIPB is playing a very significant role in the promotion of foreign direct investment in India, it is very necessary that government will boost the FIPB so that foreign direct investment will be encouraged in India at a large scale
